Carillion presented with environmental award
The National Award for Environmental Excellence® recognises Carillion’s achievements in delivering environmental excellence at Langlands Hospital - from maintaining high levels of cleanliness, improving the surrounding local environment and waste management.
Our auditors highly commended Carillion’s employee training and policies which help to facilitate and support wider community partnership, in addition to allowing employees up to six days paid leave each year to volunteer locally.
The National Award for Environmental Excellence® is open to companies and organisations throughout Scotland and acts as the benchmark for corporate environmental performance - Bronze, Silver or Gold levels can be attained.
Ronnie Carruthers, Facility Contract Manager at Carillion Community Services, commented: “We are delighted to receive this prestigious award from Keep Scotland Beautiful. We work closely with businesses and organisations across Scotland, helping them take direct action to address local environmental impact. Over 100 business locations, from shopping centres, leisure trusts to train stations and ports, have been audited for a National Award for Environmental Excellence®.
