Scotland’s future planning system under spotlight

The third National Planning Framework (NPF3) and draft Scottish Planning Policy (SPP) will influence development plans across Scotland and guide future planning decisions on a range of sectors including transport, energy and infrastructure.

Scotland’s first community-owned farm issues shares

Whitmuir Community Farm, just south of Edinburgh, became the first in Scotland to issue shares last week. The share issue was launched by Richard Lochhead, Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs and Environment, following packed out public meetings with the current owners. Everyone over the age of five is invited to buy a share in ‘growing the future’.
