Environmental Quality

Keep Scotland Beautiful is Scotland’s leading force acting, campaigning and training others to clean up local environments and to change the behaviour which blights our urban and rural landscape; it is part of our work to help make Scotland clean and green, today and tomorrow.

Seaside Awards

Keep Scotland Beautiful runs two beach award programmes, the first of which is the Scottish Seaside Awards scheme. This programme exists to reward good beach management, which increases the pleasure local people derive from their beach and also benefits the local economy through an expansion in tourism.

The second beach award programme is Blue Flag. Like other Keep Scotland Beautiful administered programmes including Eco-Schools, it is an international programme administered by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) and operational in almost 50 countries worldwide.
