Friends of Morningside Cemetery

Volunteer group working Wednesday mornings, in a space for reflection in an inner-city Cemetery, with close ties to the community. Building opportunities for insects, birds and plants through planting shrubs, bulbs and seeds, with relaxed mowing times and avoidance of pesticides, in collaboration with the City council. Developing ties with local history networks and other burial places through oral history. The group achieved Outstanding and a Certificate of Distinction when they were last in, in 2023.
