The aim of this campaign was to remove as many potential abandoned vehicles from the streets as possible by taking advantage of the cartakeback.com network to provide free uplift of end of life vehicles throughout mainland Scotland. The campaign image was displayed on bus rears and posters throughout mainland Scotland and a radio advert featuring Quentin Wilson was aired on local radio stations.
The advertising encouraged people with unwanted vehicles in their gardens, yards and lockups to arrange to have them uplifted for free. Please click here to view the press release for the campaign.
Over the period of the campaign, August to November 2006, 1000 vehicles were reported through the hotline and the website and over 700 were uplifted.
Thank you to all who helped to make this campaign a success!
