Suzanne joined Keep Scotland Beautiful in 2004 following a four-year secondment to us from Scottish Water. She currently manages our communications function, including overseeing the delivery of our communications plan – maximising our external media output, our website news content, our social media strategy and the production of external publications.
She has held a number of roles with us, coordinating our coastal campaigns, leading on our external communications, delivering a litter and flytipping contract, and managing the team which administers our Clean Up Scotland campaign, the Beautiful Scotland and It’s Your Neighbourhood activities, Beach Awards and Green Flag Award for parks. She now manages our Policy and Research Officer and our Marketing Officer.
Before joining us Suzanne was a Corporate Communications Officer with Scottish Water where she led on external media relations and education awareness campaigns for the environment team. Prior to this she spent two years working as a reporter for a local paper in East Lothian.
Suzanne has a BSc in Marine Biology and Environmental Science from St Andrews University.
She currently represents Keep Scotland Beautiful as a Partner Director on the Fife Coast and Countryside Trust (FCCT) Board of Charity Trustees.
