Michelle joined Keep Scotland Beautiful in 2016 to develop Low Carbon Skills Film Resources for secondary schools across Scotland which demonstrate sustainable business practice and encourage young people to look at their own behaviours as consumers. Whilst continuing to produce Low Carbon Skills film resources, she is also now our Education Development Officer for the E3 Energy, Enterprise and Environment project which is funded by EDF Energy. Working with teachers and young people, the project aims to develop and improve understanding of energy issues in the context of sustainable development and climate change.
Michelle has recently returned from living in Melbourne, Australia for four years where she worked as a Media & Communications Coordinator at a private school. She also ran a highly successful sports media project where her young pupils were invited to be the only accredited youth media at the Commonwealth Youth Games in Samoa.
With 15 years of experience working within Education, Michelle has delivered an array of Professional Learning Programmes for Teachers and designed and delivered lots of exciting and innovative projects in schools using film and podcasting technologies which inspire and engage young people
Michelle has a BA in Business & Childhood & Youth Studies from The Open University and is highly experienced in film and podcasting production and editing and website development.
